A REAL Purpose

REAL is a quarterly publication that was created in response to the growing number of young women suffering from low self esteem, body image disorders, depression, anxiety, self harm and addictions. 

REAL honestly reflect the challenges and experiences of young women and provides a space for girls to publish their artworks, articles, poetry and photography.

Our Core Market:

Real’s core market consists of young women between the ages of 12 and 18. Our target audience attends public or private schools and/or accesses youth, health and community centres across Australia. This demographic constantly seeks stimulating media that is entertaining, fresh and provides advice and support during a time of mental and physical change.

Additional Audience

REAL also targets organisations that provide support networks for young women. Support networks include parents, teachers, school libraries and community, health and youth centres.

REAL Distribution

Each quarter REAL magazine is distributed to:

  • Secondary School Libraries across Australia.
  • Youth, Community and Mental Health Centres across Australia. 
  • Young women that participate in ‘REAL Girl Workshops.’
  • Young women attending youth events such as National Youth Week, festivals & music gigs.
  • Selected Newsagencies.
