Many of you would not be aware that yesterday (8th March) was international womens day. Internationals womens day has been celebrated since the early 1900's and it is a day dedicated to acknowledging the political, social and economic achievements of women in the world. Here in Australia we are lucky, as women we have the right to vote, work, go to school and make life choices for ourselves. We have access to medical treatment, education and amazing social services. So in honour of our fellow women around the world who aren't as lucky as us I ask you to click on the link below and support the ONE2ONE transmission of HIV between mothers and daughters in developing countries. It is estimated that every minute of the day a woman dies of childbirth in these countries. There is more info on the site, but basically if you can spare a moment to sign this petition and get another special women in your life to do the same we may just be the generation to start the change for these poor disadvantaged women. In that minute you could be saving someone's life. http://one.org/women/mothertochild/
